The FAT-30 can handle 600 horsepower and 30,000 foot pounds of input torque. Fabco's fat 30 auxiliary transmission has the highest torque rating in the industry at twice the capacity of other available products. This provides maximum versatility for on and off highway applications. This is a three speed auxiliary transmission with Direct 1.00 to 1, Low Underdrive 2.50 to 1 and Overdrive .86 to 1 pneumatically air shifted and can be mated with both manual and automatic transmissions. This range of ratios delivers unmatched performance: • High reduction for rough off-road use and extreme on-highway heavy hauls • Speed, fuel economy, and less wear in overdrive for highway operation The FAT-30's proven reliability and durability is reflected in its robust cast-iron housing design which mounts like a traditional transfer case. The planetary gearing provides quiet, smooth operation along with compact installation to any commercial vehicle and heavy haul chassis. The FAT-30 comes standard with a top-mount eight-bolt PTO pad. Typical Fabco vocational applications for the FAT-30 include extra heavy duty on highway and off road vehicles for specialized heavy haul, oil field rig moving, mining, forestry and agriculture, as well as stationary power transmission equipment requiring additional high torque reduction.
